Espanyol vs Levante: Hosts look to make it two from two at home

Espanyol vs Levante – RCDE Stadium – Sunday 16th September – Kick off 3:15pm GMT

Espanyol welcome Levante to Catalonia on Sunday afternoon as they aim to make it a Valencian double at the RCDE Stadium on Jornada four.

Los Pericos defeated Levante’s city rivals Valencia in their only other home game this season on matchday two having drawn at Celta Vigo on the opening day. A defeat to Alaves has soured their start to the season but they will see Levante as a beatable side.

The Valencians have also began the season relatively well, winning at Real Betis before losing at home to Celta Vigo but they managed to bounce back with a 2-2 draw against Valencia.

Last season, both games in the league between the sides ended in draws, 0-0 and 1-1 respectively but there was entertainment when they met in the Copa del Rey. Levante won the first leg 2-1 in Barcelona but Espanyol managed to overturn the deficit in the second leg, winning 2-0 to reach the quarter finals.
