Girona vs Celta Vigo – Estadi Montilivi – Monday 17th September – Kick off 8pm GMT
The final game of Jornada four sees Girona welcome an unbeaten Celta Vigo side to the North-East of Spain on Monday night.
Girona made a big impact on La Liga last season following their promotion from La Liga123 with an unlikely European push gaining the attention of many fans around Spain and beyond.
This season hasn’t begun too badly either with a win, a draw and a defeat to their name but opponents Celta will not be easy, with only Real Madrid and Barcelona also remaining unbeaten after three games.
Last season’s Montilivi clash ended with a 1-0 win for the hosts, Cristian Portu scoring the only goal while they came from behind twice to draw 3-3 at Balaidos.
Johan Mojica joined Girona permanently after a loan spell last year, but hasn’t featured this season due to a hamstring injury which keeps him out of Monday’s game as well. New signing Seydou Doumbia may feature.
As for Celta, they also only have one player out through injury, ironically also a left back with a hamstring problem, ex-Eibar man David Junca the unlucky party in this case.
