Eibar beat Leganes 1-0 to further dampen the visitors start to the season, who now sit rock bottom with no wins.
The visitors have begun the season in awful form and after losing coach Asier Garitano to Real Sociedad over the summer – their future in La Liga looks bleak.
Heading into the game, the visitors had one point from their opening four games, drawing 2-2 with La Real – but they could do little to beat Eibar on Saturday afternoon.
Jose Luis Mendilibar’s hosts have started well and they looked good from the outset, dominating the lions share of possession.
14 shots in total saw them push Leganes’ goal and the only goal from the game came when Kike notched a 52 minute winner.
Elsewhere, Rayo Vallecano’s return to the Estadio de Vallecas was ruined by a five-star performance from Alaves, who won 5-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Alaves slowly grew into the game and it was the visitors who opened the scoring when Ibai Gomez was fouled and Ximo Navarro found the back of the net.
Gael Kakuta was doing his very best to get the home side back into the game and he found Raul de Tomas in the 30th minute to level the tie, but the goal failed to spur on the home side, who had wanted to bring joy back to the fans of the Vallecas after the ground was closed recently due to safety concerns.
The game was not tied for long as Ibai Gomez got himself on the scoresheet, and the home side suffered more upset when Abdoulaye Ba was sent off a minute later.
Goals from Jonathan Calleri, another from Ibai Gomez and a stoppage time strike from Burgui further enhanced the scoreline for the away side, who continue their impressive start to the season.
