Valencia’s Santi Mina has been ruled out of the matches against Celta Vigo and Real Sociedad due to injury.
The young attacker has undergone medical tests on Monday morning after picking up the injury in the 0-0 draw with Villarreal on Sunday.
The medical report has confirmed that Mina will now miss the games against Celta and La Real, causing a severe contusion on the tibial plateau of his left knee.
Mina was forced off in the first half of the game at the weekend after colliding with Jaume Costa and was substituted at the break by boss Marcelino.
Los Che’s winless start to the season continued with the draw against the Yellow Submarine, in a game which saw captain Dani Parejo sent off on the hour mark.
Both sides had a total combined shot effort of 23, but neither could get on the score-sheet – with just three of those efforts hitting the target.
Valencia’s winless streak now extends to six matches in all competitions but they did rise to 15th in the La Liga standings after a third consecutive draw.
Marcelino’s side face Celta Vigo at home in midweek, before facing Real Sociedad at the weekend.
Villarreal meanwhile – have also had a poor start to the season and sit just one point ahead.
