Premier League side Arsenal have submitted a £25m bid for Barcelona midfielder Rafinha, La Liga News UK understands.
The Brazilian midfielder is one of the players that might leave Barcelona this season in search for minutes and has already been a player tracked by Valencia in recent seasons, whilst Premier League side Arsenal have also shown interest.
The 24-year-old opened up about his future last month and seemingly left the door open for a summer exit.
And, it is now understood by our sources that after discussions between the two clubs – a £25m offer has been submitted by the North London side.
Barca are willing to accept that offer after receiving no offers for Turkish midfielder Arda Turan, who – along with Rafinha – had been made available for transfer this summer.
Rafinha’s move to Arsenal could be finalised by mid-August but his start to the Premier League season would depend heavily on his recovery from a knee injury that kept him out of the season run-in in La Liga.
Sky Sources claim that the midfielder is not on tour with Barca, and therefore, he would be available to discuss terms.
Having started his career with Barcelona in 2006, the youngster followed suit to his elder brother, Thiago and progressed through the various age groups.
He later went to enjoy a loan spell with Celta Vigo and was then given more playing time in Barca’s senior squad upon his return.
His form and performances have since seen him make two appearances for the Brazilian national side.
