Luis Suarez begins knee treatment in hope to re-find form

Barcelona’s Luis Suarez has begun knee treatment which he hopes will see his goal scoring form return.

The Uruguayan forward has struggled to find his form so far this season, netting just three goals in 11 games for the Catalan side.

Whilst the striker represented his country at the World Cup in Russia this summer, which has contributed to his tiredness on the pitch – problems with discomfort in his knee have also been causing a problem.

With the international break now upon us, Suarez has opted to stay in Barcelona and not represent his country over the next 14 days.

Barca released an official medical report on Monday morning about Suarez’ fitness and he is now set to take on a treatment plan.

Suarez struggled to find his form against Valencia on Sunday evening in which Barca had Lionel Messi to thank for a 1-1 draw at the Mestalla.

Ernesto Valverde’s side have now not won a league game in four and they face league leaders Sevilla following the international break.

Messi’s goal ruled out Ezequiel Garay’s opener in the third minute to keep Barca ahead of Atletico Madrid (3rd) and Real Madrid (4th), with the latter being beaten 1-0 by Alaves on Saturday evening.
