Barcelona winger Malcom has been reassured by the Catalan club after citing fears over his lack of playing time.
The Brazilian was involved in a dramatic transfer switch during the summer as he was all set to join AS Roma, before making a final minute move to the Camp Nou.
Having impressed during Barca’s International Champions Cup trip to the United States over pre-season, the young winger was expected to be handed a shot by Ernesto Valverde.
However, playing time has been few and far between, making just two appearances from the substitutes bench this season, whilst he was not in the squad for the games against Tottenham Hotspur and Valencia.
Having arrived this summer along with Arturo Vidal, Clement Lenglet and Arthur – Malcom like the former two, is growing frustrated with his time on the bench.
Having cited his frustrations following the squad’s break for the international period, Spanish daily Marca are reporting that he has been told his time will come with the league champions.
Marca do cite a valid reason for Malcom to get his chance with Barca, taking his international call-up for Brazil as one reason, but they do question Valverde’s decision to sign the Brazilian.
