Alcorcón finished the job they started on Sunday and left the Nou Estadi with three points.
The game was pretty much over as a contest after Los Alfareros were 3-0 up in 40 rain soaked minutes yesterday, before the game was eventually suspended following a second power failure at the stadium and some atrocious weather, which forced both teams to play out the rest of the fixture on Monday afternoon.
Of the 7 minutes that remained of the first half the only noteworthy piece of action was Nastic’s David Rocha’s right footed shot from outside the box that flew wide.
In the second half Alcorcón were quite comfortable to concede possession to Nastic and defend their lead. Nastic did however eventually break down Alcorcón’s defence with six minutes to go and it took a brilliant piece of skill by young Brugui, who dribbled his way past two Alcorcón players to set up substitute Manu del Mora whose right footed shot beat Dani Jiménez.
Just as Nastic thought they had a glimmer of hope to get back into the match, Luis Suárez was sent off in the 86th minute for collecting his second yellow card of the game. Following Suárez’s dismissal Alcorcón comfortably held on to eventually win the tie 3-1.
