Borja Mayoral will not be allowed to face former club Real Madrid this weekend for Levante.
The young Spaniard is currently on loan with the Valencian based club and a clause in his deal means he cannot face them this coming weekend as La Liga returns following the international break.
Mayoral did feature at the start of the season for Madrid but a last minute deal to Levante on transfer deadline day saw him agree a one year loan.
Levante’s form leading up the game at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday sees them sit 11th, whilst Madrid sit fourth – having struggled of late and having not scored in their last four games in all competitions.
Whilst Mayoral will not feature for Levante, Gareth Bale is a doubt for Madrid.
The Welsh winger was forced to miss Wales’ international games with Spain and the Republic of Ireland and doubts over his fitness for the upcoming El Clasico are now beginning to mount.
Wales failed to beat Spain, losing 4-1 in a friendly, before they beat Ireland in their Nations League match thanks to a goal from Harry Wilson.
Bale sustained an injury in last month’s Madrid derby with Atletico Madrid but did feature against Alaves recently, however, fresh concerns over his fitness have emerged.
