Marca are reporting that Thomas Partey is considering a January exit from Atletico Madrid.
The 25-year-old midfielder has started just two league games this season for Diego Simeone’s side, despite a superb season last time round.
It had been expected that Partey would play more of a prominent role in Simeone’s side after the summer exit of Gabi, but playing time has been quashed by the likes of Rodri, who arrived from Villarreal.
The Ghana international is now said to be pushing for an exit and interest from Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain and Premier League giants Arsenal has now been mentioned in Spanish and English press.
Partey came through Atleti’s youth academy and has made 106 appearances to date for the Wanda Metropolitano side.
During his time with the Madrid based club – Partey has spent two loan spells with Mallorca and Almeria; whilst he has won the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Super Cup with his current club.
Atleti return to action in La Liga this weekend with a game against Villarreal, who have struggled at the start of the season.
Simeone’s side currently sit fourth in the league table, behind second placed Barcelona and league leaders, Sevilla, who meet each other on Saturday evening.
