Eibar vs Athletic Bilbao – Municipal Ipurua – Sunday 21st October – Kick off 3:15pm UK time
Eibar will play host to Athletic Bilbao on Sunday afternoon in yet another meeting between two of La Liga’s Basque representatives.
Los Armeros currently sit in twelfth place after their 3-2 win at Girona last time out and would move into the top half if they could get full points against Athletic.
The away side on the other hand have won just one of their opening seven games and find themselves just outside the bottom three on goal difference. Their last game before the international break was a 3-1 defeat in the big Basque derby at home to Real Sociedad.
Last season’s game at the Ipurua ended in a 1-0 win for Athletic against the ten men of Eibar with a 1-1 draw at San Mames.
Jose Luis Mendilibar’s Eibar will be without Jordi Calavera, Pedro Leon, Gonzalo Escalante and Paulo Oliveira for Sunday’s derby through injury.
Athletic Bilbao on the other hand have no injury worries to contend with and are expected to name a strong line-up as they aim to climb the table.
