Goals from Rafinha and Jordi Alba helped Barcelona beat Inter Milan 2-0 on Tuesday evening at Camp Nou.
Both Barca and Inter had two wins out of two games heading into the game and it proved to be a good night for the home side as they secured a third win.
Lionel Messi was unavailable due to a right arm fracture, but his absence on the pitch did not effect Barca’s performance, having been guided to an excellent display by the likes of Luis Suarez and Arthur, who were in particularly good form.
The home side had the lead early in the game when former Inter midfielder Rafinha was played in by Suarez and he tapped past Handanovic.
Inter barely threatened Marc Andre ter-Stegen, although Mauro Icardi did see a header go just over the crossbar.
Jordi Alba netted a superb second in the second half to see off the game following a superb link up with Ivan Rakitic
Rakitic was in superb form and he almost scored a sublime effort towards the final period of the game.
Barca now sit top with nine points out of nine, whilst Inter are ahead of Tottenham Hotspur in third.
Ernesto Valverde’s side now prepare for the weekend game against Real Madrid.
