Celta Vigo vs Eibar – Estadio Balaidos – Saturday 27th October – Kick off 5:30pm UK time
Both Celta Vigo and Eibar have had poor starts to the season by their standards but a win on Saturday for either side would see them climb to eighth in La Liga.
Antonio Mohamed’s Celta side currently sit in 13th place with just ten points to their name and will be hoping to avoid making it three defeats in a row when Eibar visit Galicia on Saturday.
Visitors Eibar are just a point ahead of Celta in 12th place having struggled to put a run of wins together in the early stages of the season but they are unbeaten in their last two games.
Celta had the better of the Basque side last year, winning all four meetings in league and cup. The clash in La Liga at Balaidos ended in a 2-0 win for the hosts with a 4-0 score-line in the reverse fixture.
Uruguayan attacker Maxi Gomez, Celta’s second top scorer with four goals, is out of the clash at the weekend and he is joined on the injury list by Matthias Jensen while Nemanja Radoja and Andrew Hjulsager are among those left out of the squad.
Eibar are without Pedro Leon, Paulo Oliveira, Gonzalo Escalante and first choice goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic while Jordi Calavera and Pablo Hervias have been left out by boss Jose Luis Mendilibar.
