Atlético Madrid vs. Real Sociedad – Wanda Metropolitano – Saturday 27th October – Kick-off 7:45PM UK time
Saturday’s final fixture features two sides looking to improve their standing in the top half of LaLiga’s table, as Atlético Madrid host Real Sociedad. Both teams will be looking for stronger performances after disappointment in their most recent games.
For Los Rojiblancos, the pressure to respond to their 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League this week will be immense. It was a rare occurrence where manager Diego Simeone’s squad appeared completely overwhelmed by the opponent, and had serious issues in the defensive half of the pitch.
In league play, Atlético are unbeaten in their past six matches. Entering the weekend in fifth place, they are only two points off Barcelona at the top of LaLiga.
Real Sociedad will be hoping that they are visiting the Wanda Metropolitano at the perfect time, perhaps meeting a vulnerable Atlético side. They will be looking to bounce back from a 0-0 home draw versus Girona on Monday, a game where opportunities in the final third were wasted.
La Real are ninth in the table on 12 points.

The main issue for Atlético will be the absence of centre-back José Giménez, still working his way back to full fitness following a thigh injury. Expect to see Lucas Hernández once again start alongside Diego Godín in central defence.
Real Sociedad will be hopeful that the likes of Adnan Januzaj and Mikel Merino are closer to a return, but will again be missing a few players in the line-up.
