Girona vs Rayo Vallecano: Michel looks to save his job with Catalan trip

Girona vs Rayo Vallecano – Estadi Montilivi – Saturday 27th October – 12:00 GMT

Rayo Vallecano boss Michel will continue to fight for his job and seek to pick up his team’s second win of the season as he leads the Madrid based minnows to Catalonia to face Girona.

They make the journey less than 72 hours after a 1-1 home draw with Athletic Club, which followed a home defeat in a derby against Getafe last weekend. That was their second consecutive derby defeat having previously lost to Leganes.

Girona too have lost twice and drawn twice in their last four games, with their most recent win being at home to Celta Vigo on match day four. Most recently, Eusebio picked up a point in a 0-0 draw with Real Sociedad as he visited his former club.
