Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti could return from an injury problem to face Atletico Madrid.
The French international has been a key figure for the Catalan side over recent seasons and his absence has been missed for the Camp Nou outfit.
Clement Lenglet has been filling in for his compatriot, but Ernesto Valverde will be buoyed by the news that the former Olympique Lyonnais defender is recovering well.
Out since September, Umtiti has been training on sand and running in the recent days and it has now been reported he set to return to face Diego Simeone’s side in November.
The fixture will come after the next international break and could prove vital in the La Liga title race that sees both teams separated by just two points at present.
Umtiti, who is expected to go straight back into Valverde’s starting eleven – will have to fight off competition from Lenglet, who has impressed over the last few games.
Barca, who hammered Real Madrid 5-1 at the weekend – will face Cultural Leonesa in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday evening.
The likes of Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets and Luis Suarez are expected to be rested for the game, ahead of the weekend fixture with Rayo Vallecano.
