Atlético Madrid vs Athletic Club – Wanda Metropolitano – Saturday 10th November – Kick off 5:30pm UK time
Capital side Atlético Madrid gained revenge on Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League in midweek and will hope to bring that form to the league as they aim to bounce back from last week’s draw with Leganes.
Atléti currently sit fourth but can move as high as second before the teams above them play with a win at home to a struggling Athletic Club side.
Eduardo Berizzo’s Basques have had a poor season and find themselves just a point above the relegation zone having won just once all season.
Last time out for them, it was a 1-0 defeat to Espanyol and Berizzo knows results will have to change soon or his job could be under threat.
In the two game’s last season, both times it was Atlético who came out on top, winning 2-0 in the capital and 2-1 at San Mames.
Diego Simeone has been boosted by the return to training of Diego Godin and Diego Costa late this week but he confirmed that Costa’s place in the starting line-up will be totally his own decision. They do however still have a lengthy injury list with Koke, Thomas Lemar, Stefan Savic, Lucas and Jose Gimenez all out.
For Athletic, Inigo Lekue and Yeray Alvarez are out through injury while Dani Garcia is suspended after amassing too many yellow cards.

Athletic Club (4-3-3): Herrerin; De Marcos, Nunez, Inigo, Yuri; Rico, Jose, Benat; Williams, Aduriz, Garcia
