Juan Sabas was dismissed as coach of the Extremadura Unión Deportiva on Saturday, just one hour after his side loss against Osasuna, a game in which the azulgrana let a 2 goal lead slip and condemned his former side to it’s third consecutive defeat.
Sports director Daniel Lopez Ramos informed Sabas of his dismissal as coach of the team and stated that Pedro José will oversee training on Monday as the club consider their options and decide on should replace the former Betis player.
Sporting Director Lopez Ramos said that in the last few days the club has been in contact with various coaches but as of yet the club has yet to make any decisions.
Paco Herrera has been linked with the post though the former Liverpool assistant coach has denied having any contact with the club.
Sabas becomes the fifth coach to be dismissed this season in La Liga 1|2|3, after Joseba Etxeberria (Tenerife), Imano Idiakez (Zaragoza), José A. Gordillo (Nástic) and Javi López (Lugo).
