Over in Sevilla, news has come out about the future of loan star Andre Silva, who has been told that the Andalusian club will make his move permanent next summer.
The Portuguese forward only netted two goals for Milan last season in 24 games, but he has bounced back in Spain this term, scoring seven goals in his opening 10 league games.
Talk of Milan officials wanting him to return to the club have been rife in Italian media, but it has now been confirmed by Sevilla’s sporting director Joaquin Caparros that a permanent move will be made.
That option was installed in the loan deal that saw Silva move to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and thus leaves Milan helpless in stopping Sevilla make the €35 million move.
“Sevilla fans have to be calm, because he is a player that we have tied down well,” Caparros told Sevilla’s official website.
“The player will stay with us on a contract for many seasons. We have all the rights, the option to keep him.
“Milan can say what they want, they and other clubs will want him, but we are aware that at the end of the season, or before, we will use that right [to purchase him].”
Llorente has Alaves and Sevilla offers to choose from…
Marcos Llorente is keen to make a move away from Real Madrid after struggling to break into the first team plans.
The central midfielder spent time on loan with Alaves in 2017, but returned to the Santiago Bernabeu with the hope of gaining minutes.
Alaves are keen to explore the idea of a permanent move, however, they have now been joined by Sevilla, according to Marca.
Jesus Navas ruled out of Valladolid game
The former Manchester City winger felt discomfort during training on Thursday and will now miss out this weekend.
Late medical tests on Friday could see him put in the match-day squad, but it is doubtful he would gain a start.
Navas, who became a father for the second time on Wednesday evening, has been in steady form this season.
