Villarreal vs Betis – Estadio de la Cerámica – Sunday 25th November – Kick off 7.45pm UK time.
Javier Calleja’s Villarreal host Real Betis on Sunday evening at the Estadio de la Cerámica as the home side look to avoid sliding into the drop zone.
The hosts currently occupy 17th place after a disappointing start to the season, seeing them win just two games from twelve so far.
The yellow submarine finished 5th last term, but they can forget about European glories this season as they now face a scrap for survival.
A win against Los Verdiblancos would keep them out of the relegation places for at least one more week allowing them to leapfrog Leganes.
With Athletic Club featuring in the Sunday’s early kick off, its likely that Calleja’s side could be in the drop zone before a ball is kicked.
Real Betis have experienced a mixed season so far, creative wins over Barcelona and Sevilla are as good as it has got as they languish in 13th place.
Just one victory from their opening five La Liga games has seen Quique Setién’s men playing catch up but victory at the Cerámica could propel them to seventh.
Last season’s game at the Cerámica ended with a 3-1 victory for Villarreal who will be looking to repeat that feat on Sunday.
Quique Setién is expected to only be without Sidnei for this one, with Zouhair Feddal likely to feature on the left.
As for Villarreal, Alvaro Gonzalez will miss out after seeing red last time out against Rayo Vallecano.
