Huesca had 32 shots on goal against Levante, but they were held to a 2-2 draw on Saturday afternoon.
The fans at El Alcoraz are still patiently waiting for their side’s first home win of the season and they could be forgiven for hoping that this was set to be the first.
Twice Huesca went ahead, but visiting side Levante, who have been in good form this season, fought back to share the points.
The home side had the ball in the back of the net after 17 minutes only for it to be ruled out for offside – Christian Rivera denied this time, but he would get his goal just moments later when he chested the ball down in the area and finished well.
Roger Marti, however, cancelled that strike out with a typically excellent finish.
After the break, Huesca continued to attack with a flurry of shots on goal and they took the lead through Xabier Etxeita, who headed home David Ferrerio’s free kick.
Levante, though, are strong, and they hauled Emmanuel Boateng off the bench to level the game.
As Huesca continued to pile on the pressure, it was Levante who had the clear cut chances, seeing Boateng miss one final chance just before the final whistle.
