Getafe 1-0 Real Sociedad: Jorge Molina’s third minute strike enough for hosts

Jorge Molina scored the only goal of the game as Getafe beat Real Sociedad 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The game kicked off at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez without Amath Ndiaye who has been ruled out for the rest of th season with a cruciate ligament injury.

And, they gave the injured midfielder something to shout about as early as the third minute when former Real Betis striker Molina took full advantage of a Miguel Angel Moya mistake and profited from an assist from Gaku – to give his side the lead.

Molina chose to dedicate his goal to Amath, who was watching on and that 1-0 lead should have been doubled before the break, but Djene smashed his effort off the crossbar.

La Realdid eventually grow into the game but in truth – they do not look like their form is going to improve anytime soon.

Mikel Oyarzabal did all he could to be providor for his team-mates but no clear cut chances were taken by the visitors.

Theo Hernandez almost drew a penalty for the away side in the final minutes but his appeals failed to gain the attentions of referee, Jaime Latre.
