Conflicting reports have left Adrien Rabiot’s move to Barcelona in doubt, but will the Frenchman move to Camp Nou next summer?
Le Parisien are among those to report that the young midfielder has agreed a deal with the Catalan giants after refusing a new contract at Parc des Princes.
The reports claims that Rabiot could arrive in January and not next summer, as reported via various other media outlets.
Rabiot is free to leave PSG next summer, but it could be that Barca make a cut-price move next month.
On Monday morning, Thomas Tuchel, boss of the Ligue 1 champions – was unable to confirm if Rabiot would be with the club until the end of the season, leading to various claims that even if he did stay until the summer – he would face an indefinate period on the substitutes bench.
Barca have since denied that they have started negotiations with the player over a move, being criticised in the past for their approach.
Former player and France international, Eric Abidal, is said to be leading the campaign to bring in the 23-year-old.
During his seven years with PSG, Rabiot has won the Ligue 1 title on four occasions, whilst also gaining six international caps with France.
