Barcelona strolled to a 2-0 win over Celta Vigo at Camp Nou on Saturday evening.
The Catalan side hosted Celta having kept three clean sheets in a row and their impressive run of late continued thanks to goals from Ousmane Dembele and Lionel Messi.
The former has been in and out of the press of late, having struggled with his off field discipline – but his goals and assists for Barca on the pitch – have been remarkable.
Dembele took full advantage of a thumble from Celta keeper Ruben Blanco in the opening ten minutes and gave the home side the lead.
The goal followed a wonderful move involving Messi and Jordi Alba, who was in typically brilliant form.
Celta struggled to get any clear chances in the first half, except for one – which fell to lively frontman Maxi Gomez.
The Argentine striker tried to place a low drive past Marc Andre ter-Stegen, but the German stopper was equal to his effort.
As the game headed into the break, Alba was the creator of Barca’s second goal, taking advantage of some awful defending from Celta to play in Messi, who notched another league goal.
Iago Aspas was taken off injured in the second half, one which was a rather subdued and dull affair.
