Alaves have extended the current deals of Fernando Pacheco and Victor Laguardia over the winter break.
With both players set to enter the final 18 months of current deals, it has now been confirmed that extensions have been agreed, seeing Pacheco agree until 2022 and Laguardia until 2023.
The deals follow good performances on the field, a good relationship with coaches and the club’s fans, also.
Laguardia, 29, arrived at Alaves in 2014 from Real Zaragoza and has since been a key figure in the starting eleven, making 146 appearances in which he has netted seven goals.
The Aragonese defenders helped the Basque club seal promotion to La Liga and played a big part in their Copa del Rey final appearances in 2017.
Pacheco signed in 2015 from Real Madrid and has played 136 times.
With Alaves tying up those two deals, focus will now turn to that of right-back Carlos Vigaray, captain Manu and arguably their most in-form player, Ibai Gomez.
Gomez has been heavily linked with a number of English clubs, including Leeds United, whilst former club, Athletic Bilbao are also said to be keen on bringing him back to the San Mames.
Should those three players sign on for extended deals, Alaves will only have Borja Baston and Jonathan Calleri leaving next summer due to expiration of their loan deals.
