Munir El Haddadi has been told he can leave Barcelona on a free transfer in the summer of 2019.
Having returned from a loan spell with Alaves last summer, Munir was expected to be handed ample playing time but ultimately the form of Luis Suarez, Ousmane Dembele and other options like Malcom and Philippe Coutinho have halted such progression.
Contract talks were set to begin this month, but with his contract set to end in June – it is now being reported that he will be allowed to leave on a free transfer.
That decision is expected to see a number of Spanish sides show interest, including former club, Alaves and La Liga title contendors Sevilla.
The 23-year-old, who began his professional career with Barca, has made a total of 56 appearances for the Catalan club, scoring 12 goals in that time on the pitch.
Loan spells with Valencia and Alaves, where he scored 14 goals last term have also featured in his career and was a fan favourite at his former club.
Despite playing so little games for Barca, his title credentials are something to behold and feature two La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey’s, one Champions League and one Club World Cup.
