Villarreal are getting closer to sealing exits for Nicola Sansone and Roberto Soriano as a new and improved contract for Samu Chukwueze also develops.
Neither Sansone or Soriano were deemed part of former boss Javi Calleja’s plans last summer and the latter was sent out on loan to Italian side Torino.
Sansone stayed, despite numerous links to follow Soriano to Italy and indeed some reports claimed that a move to Inter Milan had been agreed back in June 2018.
Now, Villarreal are looking to balance the books and are negotiating with Bologna to name one – on a deal for Sansone.
His departure would free up wages and bring in a transfer fee, whilst the Yellow Submarine are confident that Soriano could leave next summer too.
Torino are keen to explore the possibility of a permanent deal, whilst a number of other Italian and Spanish sides have been interested.
Taking advantage of those potential sales is youngster Chukwueze, who is being lined up with a new contract.
Following his rise and form this season, Villarreal want to agree a new deal which would bump his release clause up to 50m euros.
That move comes after a number of interested parties watched the youngster in action before the winter break, including several from the English Premier League.
