Real Madrid have made Porto defender Eder Militao a transfer target, according to Spanish daily Marca.
The 20-year-old has been in good form this season for the Portuguese side, helping them secure a 18 game unbeaten run in all competitions.
The Brazilian born centre-back joined Porto last summer from Sao Paulo and has so far, featured in 22 games.
Marca follow up a report in A Bola which says their are no plans to sell the defender, who is now likely to link up with former Real Madrid man Pepe, who joined the club on Tuesday afternoon.
Militao’s release clause at Porto was increased earlier this season to €50m after interest from the likes of Manchester United in the Premier League.
The former Sao Paulo man has already been capped by the Brazilian national side and would provide adequate back-up to the likes of Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane, whilst he also provides the option to play on the right hand side of a defensive back four.
Real Madrid are back in action on Wednesday evening as they host Leganes in the first of their last-16 Copa del Rey tie. Pressure will be firmly on boss Santi Solari after they lost at the Santiago Bernabeu to Real Sociedad at the weekend.
