Real Madrid midfielder Isco has suffered another setback at the club after sitting on the bench for the Copa del Rey with Leganes on Wednesday evening.
The former Malaga man last played a full 90 minutes for Los Blancos in the 3-0 Champions League defeat to CSKA Moscow on the 12th December and his future at the Santiago Bernabeu is now very much up in the air.
The Spanish midfielder has been in and out of the Madrid starting eleven for some-time now and has been linked with a move away from the Spanish capital, having been linked to English champions Manchester City.
The arrival of Man City youngster Brahim Diaz is also said to have set Isco backwards too, and some reports even claimed that the new signing had requested his squad number upon arrival in Spain.
Isco did appear for Madrid against Leganes on Wednesday, replacing Lucas Vazquez after the winger had made it 2-0 to the home side following an opener from Sergio Ramos.
The Copa del Rey first leg tie saw Leganes test Madrid from the get go as Martin Braithwaite missed three glaring opportunities in the first half.
Ramos, who netted from the penalty spot, scored his 100th career goal – before Vinicius Jnr netted an impressive third, ensuring Madrid have a substantial first leg advantage.
