Premier League side Everton are interested in a move for former Valencia loanee Michy Batshuayi, according to The Mirror.
Batshuayi joined Los Che on loan from Chelsea last summer but scored just three goals in 23 games across all competitions for the club, forcing boss Marcelino to lose patience with the 25-year old.
General director Mateu Alemany confirmed on Thursday that Batshuayi had played his last game for the side and would return to Stamford Bridge.
Upon his return to England, the Belgian international has been handed a lifeline through Everton, who are said to be extremely keen on bringing him to Goodison Park.
Marco Silva’s side have been struggling for consistency this season and have heavily relied on Brazilian goalscorer Richarlison.
The Toffees could be joined a whole host English clubs, however, given Batshuayi’s good form at Chelsea before he left for Valencia.
His exit from the Spanish club will leave Rodrigo Moreno, Santi Mina and Kevin Gameiro as the available strikers to Marcelino but that particular trio have just six La Liga goals between this season.
Valencia have had a dismal season thus far and lost 2-1 to Sporting Gijon in the first leg of their last-16 Copa del Rey tie on Tuesday evening.
Los Che will return to action this weekend but pressure will firmly be on Marcelino to deliver failing to pick up a win so far in 2019.
