Guilherme Arana is set to leave Sevilla and make a return to Brazil with Santos, say reports.
The 21-year-old joined the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan outfit in January 2018 but after a year – he is now set to returm back to his native Brazil.
Having been involved in just 11 league games since, Arana has featured mainly this term in the Copa del Rey, playing most recently against Athletic Bilbao last week.
Santos are now growing increasingly interested, whilst former club Corinthians are also said to be interested.
ABC de Sevilla confirms that Arana’s potential departure would open up the return of Alberto Moreno, who has been linked from English Premier League leaders Liverpool.
Sevilla, who have pushed both Atletic Madrid and Barcelona this season in the title race – lost to Athletic Bilbao in the league at the weekend.
The two La Liga clubs have three games in a row having been drawn in the Copa del Rey last-16 round and with Sevilla winning in midweek – they arrived as favourites.
However, it took a superb performance from the Basque hosts and in particular – Inaki Williams, who ended a two year goal drought at home – scoring a brace which gave the home side all three points.
The two sides will meet again this midweek in Copa action.
