Marcelo was left on the bench against Real Betis for Real Madrid, seeing him further linked with an exit from the club.
The Brazilian has been one of Madrid’s top performers in recent seasons but his form this time round has seen him heavily criticised by Madrid media and the club’s fans.
Having travelled to Seville for the game against Real Betis on Sunday evening – Marcelo was left out by boss Santi Solari and was an unused substitute.
His absence was matched by that of Isco, who also continues to be linked with a move out of the Santiago Bernabeu.
As Marca English report however, the defender seemed happy after Dani Ceballos scored the winning goal at the Benito Villamarin.
Marcelo has previously been linked with a move to Juventus, following in the footsteps of close friend Cristiano Ronaldo, who left the Santiago Bernabeu last summer.
The Old Lady are planning for next season already after sealing a deal for Arsenal’s midfielder Aaron Ramsey in recent weeks, according to various reports.
Isco, who has been a bit part player for Los Blancos this season, is also considering his future at the club and is said to be keen on an exit if current boss Santi Solari continues at the helm.
The former Malaga man has previously been linked with a move to England with Manchester City and Arsenal, but Juventus are now said to be keen to bring the playmaker in this summer.
Madrid would seemingly be open to offers for the latter, having played just one full match since November.
