Jesus Vallejo broke down in tears after another injury in Real Madrid training on Monday morning.
The central defender left the session at Valdebebas in tears after being consoled by boss Santiago Solari and it now looks likely that the 22-year-old will miss further action with an injury.
Vallejo has featured just twice this season for Los Blancos, appearing in the Copa del Rey with Melilla in October and against CSKA Moscow in December’s Champions League tie.
Having returned from a recent muscular injury, Vallejo has now suffered a fourth muscle injury so far this season and tests will now be done to investigate the problem further.
The defender was expected to feature for Madrid in the Copa del Rey against Leganes at the weekend, however, he will now miss out with the European champions holding a 3-0 first leg lead.
Javi Sanchez is now expected to replace Vallejo in the squad for the trip to Butarque, whilst their is some good news for Madrid fans after Toni Kroos, Gareth Bale, Marcos Llorente, Thibaut Courtois and Marco Asensio all took part in the session.
Whether or not any of the aforementioned will feature against Leganes is another story, given their lack of training in recent weeks.
