Real Madrid escaped a similar punishment to that threatened towards Barcelona over playing Chumi in the Copa del Rey.
Barca are under investigation at present after playing Chumi in the first leg of their Copa del Rey tie with Levante last week.
The Catalan side won the second leg but the appearance of the Barcelona B defender has sparked uproar after it emerged he was suspened in the league after picking up five yellow cards.
Levante’s Quique Catalan confirmed that a complaint had been lodged and further news is now awaited.
Marca, however, have looked back on Real Madrid’s exemption to the rule when they played Alvaro Tejro against Cultural Leonesa in 2016.
Having won the game 7-1 in Leon, then boss – Zinedine Zidane made several rotations for the return leg at the Santiago Bernabeu and Tejero made an appearance in the 6-1 win.
However, Tejero was also suspended, having picked up a fifth yellow for Castilla in the lower tiers.
Madrid escaped punishment and youngster Tejero missed Castilla’s next game, before returning to action on December 11th.
Barca are said to be ‘calm’ over the claims made by Levante and are citing a ‘rule change’ last November by the Spanish Football Federation.
