Michy Batshuayi has still not left Valencia and missed training on Monday morning.
Batshuayi joined Los Che on loan from Chelsea last summer but scored just three goals in 23 games across all competitions for the club, forcing boss Marcelino to lose patience with the 25-year old.
General director Mateu Alemany confirmed last week that Batshuayi had played his last game for the side and would return to Stamford Bridge.
However, it has now been claimed that the Belgian striker is still in Valencia and has missed training.
With interest from a large number of European clubs, Batshuayi has been in discussions with French side AS Monaco, leading to multiple reports claiming he has an agreed contract.
However, a number of further claims have said that the halt in the move to France is down to a stall over Chelsea wanting a permanent sale and not another loan bid.
On the pitch at Valencia, Ferran Torres and Rodrigo scored late goals as they came from behind to beat Celta Vigo 2-1 on Saturday evening.
The pressure has firmly been on Los Che boss Marcelino in recent weeks and it looked like he would once again be heavily criticised in the press when Nestor Araujo opened the scoring for the home side in the 40th minute.
However, two second half goals saw Los Che turn the game around and keep boss Marcelino in a job for the next game.
