Eibar vs Espanyol – Ipurua – Monday 21st January 2019 – Kick off 8pm UK time
Two of La Liga’s worst form sides over the last five games go head to head in the Basque country to round off Jornada 20 on Monday night.
Eibar have picked up just four points in their last five games while Espanyol have a total of only three, the worst in the league, over the same period.
There are only two points separating the sides in the league with the hosts sitting 16th with Espanyol in 12th, although both teams can make a considerable move with a win on Monday.
The hosts lost 3-0 at Barcelona on their last outing while Espanyol fell to a 3-2 defeat at Real Sociedad and both will be hoping to change that this week.
A Mario Hermoso goal was enough to see Los Pericos take all three points when the sides met in Catalonia in September but it was Eibar who came out on top 3-1 in the last meeting in the Basque country.
Pedro Léon is the only player out through injury for Eibar and he will be joined on the sidelines by Pablo Hervias and Jordi Calavera who don’t make the squad. Fabian Orellana and Ivan Ramis should be fit to start.
Espanyol have a near fully fit squad to choose from with the exceptions being the injured trio of Hernan Perez, David Lopez and Oscar Duarte.
Eibar (4-4-2): Riesgo; Pena, Arbilla, Ramis, Cote; Orellana, Diop, Jordan, Cucurella; Enrich, Charles
Espanyol (4-3-3): Diego Lopez; Rosales, Naldo, Hermoso, Didac; Granero, Roca, Darder; Melendo, Iglesias, Baptistao
Eibar 2-2 Espanyol
