Atletico Madrid host Jose Bordalas’ in-form Getafe side on Saturday afternoon in La Liga.
Date: Saturday, 26th January 2019 / Kick-Off at 15:15 UK/ 16:15 CET / Venue: Wanda Metropolitano (Madrid).
Diego Simeone’s side sit second in the league standings and continue to press Barcelona for the league title, but they may have their work cut out on Saturday at the Wanda Metropolitano when they are up against Getafe.
After the defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League back in October, Atleti are unbeaten in all competition and they beat Huesca 3-0 last weekend to further enhance their impressive record.
That record is impressive, whilst Getafe lie sixth in the table and have been in great form themsleves, beating Alaves 4-0 last weekend.
Bordalas’ side have lost just once in their last ten games and this game has the potential to be the highlight of the weekend’s action in the Spanish top flight.
Nikola Kalinic is expected to get the nod up front for the home side due to Angel Correa missing out through suspension. Lucas Hernandez and Diego Godin have both been passed fit and should be able to start in defence.
For the visitors, Mauro Arambarri and Dimitri Foulquier both return from suspension and should come back into the midfield four.
Atleti: Oblak, Arias, Gimenez, Godin, Hernandez, Lemar, Partey, Rodrigo, Munoz, Kalinic, Griezmann
Getafe: Soria, Suarez, Cabrera, Djene, Antunes, Foulquier, Arambarri, Cristoforo, Saiz, Molina, Rodriguez
