Real Betis have completed a loan deal for Jese Rodriguez from Paris Saint Germain.
The Spanish striker arrived at the Santa Justa station in Sevilla yesterday, before travellling to the Benito Villamarin stadium to undergo medical tests.
Once heralded as the ‘new Raul’, Jese has struggled for find form over the recent years – having suffered from personal issues and the loss of his son at birth.
The Spanish forward spent last term on loan with Stoke City, who were relegated from the Premier League, seeing the former Real Madrid man score just once in 13 appearances.
Prior to his Stoke stint, Jese spent time with Las Palmas for six months, where he scored three goals in 16 games.
The former Spain U12 international has now completed a move back to La Liga with Betis, having almost joined Huesca and Real Valladolid earlier this year only to see that move fall through.
Currently with Paris Saint Germain, the former Real Madrid man has fallen behind the likes of Neymar, Edinson Cavani, Kylian Mbappe and Eric Maxim Choupo Moting.
Betis, who sit eighth have cited a need to bring in a new option up front and are desperate to after selling Antonio Sanabria to Genoa.
A defeat to Athletic Bilbao at the weekend has seen win just one game in their last eight in all competitions.
