Levante and Getafe played out a rather dull 0-0 draw on Saturday lunchtime at the Ciudad de Valencia.
Saturday’s early kick off saw an even affair between Levante and Getafe start lively and chances for both sides in the opening ten minutes could have seen either take the lead.
Angel Rodriguez almost scored from the off but the Spanish striker failed to get his shot on target, whilst strike partner Jaime Mata also had no luck.
Down the other end, the home side came close through captain Jose Luis Morales, who linked with Jason well throughout.
The game then calmed down although Roger Marti did have a great chance to give the home side the lead just before half time, but the lively striker failed to find the back of net.
The second period saw less chances as both sides seemed settled for a point and to allow the other time on the ball.
The visitors did have a good chance with ten minutes remaining, however, as Antunes came close but in truth – his effort never looked like going in between the sticks.
The result means Getafe fail to go above Alaves and remain in sixth place, whilst are amongst a mix of teams around the 26 points mark, in 12th.
