PSV Eindhoven youngster is on Barcelona’s agenda

Barcelona are showing interest in PSV Eindhoven youngster Mohammed Ihattaren, according to reports.

The Catalan side were amongst the biggest movers in the January transfer window, having allowed Munir El Haddadi and Denis Suarez to leave, whilst bringing in the likes of Kevin-Prince Boateng, Jeison Murillo, Jean-Clair Todibo and Frenkie De Jong (arriving in the summer).

Looking to the future, Barca are now reportedly keen on Ihattaren, who has been impressing in the Dutch league and is highly regarded as one of Netherlands’ future international players.

Ihatteran is a 17-year-old winger, who has scored 10 and assisted 10 times in 39 appearances for the Under-19 side at PSV this term.

Having impressed in the lower ranks, former Barcelona midfielder Mark van Bommel handed the youngster his senior PSV debut earlier this season.

Whilst, the youngster’s plaudits are from club level at present, his accolades for his country at youth level can also be praised, seeing him win the Under-17 European Championship.

A whole host of clubs have showed interest in the youngster, including English club Manchester City and German outfit Bayern Munich.

Barca are now keen and it would be expected that a move could see him playing originally for the B side, before moving into the senior setup.
