Bayern Munich midfielder James Rodriguez has said that he wants to make a return to Real Madrid this summer.
The Colombian international is now entering the final six months of his loan spell with German side Bayern Munich and it is firmly understood tht he will not be offered a permanent deal.
Bundesliga giants Bayern had been keen to take advantage of an agreed €35m option to sign him permanently, but that is now being held after poor form and an inconsistent spell in their first team.
Italian side Juventus are now said to be wanting to explore the option of signing the former AS Monaco man and tentative talks have already started with Real Madrid over a deal.
The Old Lady are now talking to James’ agent Jorge Mendes about a deal with sporting director Fabio Paratici having lunch in Dubai with the Portuguese.
Following those talks, Marca are now reporting that a conversation by phone between James and former Madrid team-mate Ronaldo have now taken place.
But that has now been matched by the Spanish daily, who claim James wants to move back to Spain with Madrid.
James joined Bayern in 2017 on a two-year loan deal but he has since lost his place in the starting eleven.
