Luis Suarez may miss the Copa del Rey semi-final second leg with Real Madrid on Wednesday evening.
The Uruguayan striker has struggled this term with a niggling knee problem which has undoubtedly caused him to dip in form of late, scoring just three goals in his last 11 games.
Following the win over Sevilla at the weekend, Suarez is now said to be a major doubt for the second leg against Los Blancos, which is currently sat at 1-1 after the opener at the Camp Nou two weeks back.
Lionel Messi scored his 50th career hat-trick for Barca as they came from behind to beat Sevilla on Saturday afternoon.
Sevilla started well and took the lead through Jesus Navas, who weaved into the six yard box and hit his low drive past Marc Andre ter Stegen.
Barca would equalise though as Ivan Rakitic found Messi, who had ghosted into the area and he hit a superb volley into the roof of the net past Tomas Vaclik.
The visitors looked to have the advantage but Gabriel Mercado struck just before half time to give the Andalusian’s a good lead at the break.
Messi, however, was not done as he linked with substitute Ousmane Dembele, before unleasing a superb right footed effort past Vaclik.
And from that moment on – it looked like Barca would add a third and winner – and it came when Messi took advantage of a blocked Carles Alena effort and dinked the ball over Vaclik, who was now a stunned figure in the Sevilla goal.
Messi would then turn provider for Suarez, who ended his recent goal drought and the fourth goal sealed the win for the league leaders, who now sit 10 points ahead of Atletico Madrid in second.
