Paris Saint Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot has emerged as a target for Real Madrid, according to reports.
Numerous claims in Spanish press, citing OK Diario have wrote that Rabiot could be subject to interest from Los Blancos, who are now back under the control of Zinedine Zidane.
23-year-old Rabiot will see his current contract expire in the French capital this summer and having not featured in three months for the Ligue 1 leaders – chances of a renewal have vanished.
Barca, who were linked heavily over the winter break and January transfer window – have now moved away from a potential move, having agreed a deal to bring Frenkie De Jong to the club from Ajax.
Zidane is now keen to explore a potential move, which is said to cost around £13.5m in a signing on fee for the midfield ace.
If Rabiot is signed, Zidane would seemingly edge out a current midfielder, but whilst most would expect that to be Isco, who has played less and less this term – he was handed a chance at the weekend, which he took and scored in front of the Santiago Bernabeu.
Madrid bounced back from a ten day period of competitions exits, with a 2-0 win over Celta Vigo at the weekend.
