Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has told the English club that he wants to join Real Madrid this summer, according to Diario AS.
Pogba has re-found his form this season under United boss Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer, but he said to be set on making a move to the Spanish capital.
The former Juventus man is said to be extremely keen on working under Madrid boss Zidane and helping Madrid take on Barcelona for the La Liga title.
Following that news, links to PSG star Kylian Mbappe have also heated up over the weekend, with reports claiming a lucrative offer has been prepared.
Without doubt, Mbappe is currently one of, if not – the hottest prospect in world football and his performances this season for PSG have further enhanced his popularity amongst some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Arsenal, Manchester City, Juventus and Barcelona have all been linked in the past, but it is Madrid who have long been linked.
Zidane returned for a second spell at the Santiago Bernabeu just before the international break and it is understood that he is already planning on a squad overhaul this summer.
Mbappe is a top target and France Football report that Los Blancos have prepared an offer which they are ready to submit.
A similar move for Mbappe’s team-mate, Neymar, however – now seems unlikely after news was released on Monday morning that the former Barcelona man was in discussion with the Ligue 1 club to renew his current deal.
