Real Madrid have opted to deny rumours linking them with a move for Paris Saint Germain forward Kylian Mbappe.
Without doubt, Mbappe is currently one of, if not – the hottest prospect in world football and his performances this season for PSG have further enhanced his popularity amongst some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Arsenal, Manchester City, Juventus and Barcelona have all been linked in the past, but it is Zinedine Zidane’s Madrid who have long been linked.
Zidane returned for a second spell at the Santiago Bernabeu just before the international break and it is understood that he is already planning on a squad overhaul this summer.
Mbappe is a top target and France Football report that Los Blancos have prepared an offer which they are ready to submit.
However, Tuesday morning’s reports in Marca claim that Madrid are not putting together a bid for the French World Cup winner.
A similar move for Mbappe’s team-mate, Neymar, also seems unlikely after news was released on Monday morning that the former Barcelona man was in discussion with the Ligue 1 club to renew his current deal.
Further to links with Mbappe, Madrid are also linked with a move for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, who wants to move to the Spanish giants, according to Diario AS.
Pogba has re-found his form this season under United boss Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer, but he said to be set on making a move to the Spanish capital.
