Celta Vigo and Villarreal will face off on Saturday evening at Balaidos in what is a must-win for both side’s.
This game at this point of the season should have a place in the European places lingering over it, but instead both Celta and Villarreal are looking desperate in their attempts to stay in La Liga next season.
The home side are sat in 18th place and have just one point from their last six games – form which has now made them favourites over their opponents for the drop.
Villarreal have improved and have picked up back-to-back wins of late and they are deemed slight favourites for this one.
A win for the Yellow Submarine would see them move to 15th, whilst Celta would not move off the bottom three with a win, but would reduce the gap to one point.
For the hosts, Hugo Mallo is available for league action after suspension and will come straight back in at right back, however, Nestor Araujo is a doubt with a foot injury.
Iago Aspas is still ruled out, but his fitness is improving and he is expected to return in April.
The visitors have Ramiro Funes Mori missing due to a ban, whilst Mario is back to fill the void left by Miguelon, who is ruled out until May with injury.
Celta: Blanco, Mallo, Cabral, Costas, Olaza, Yokuslu, Lobotka, Sisto, Boufal, Mendez, Gomez
Villarreal: Asenjo, Gonzalez, Iborra, Ruiz, Mario, Fornals, Cazorla, Caseres, Pedraza, Ekambi, Bacca
Celta have won just one of their last 13 league games and they have not scored in their last four attempts. Villarreal have improved and are favourites to take this one.
1-2. A battle……
