Atletico Madrid vs Celta Vigo: Can the visitors continue their revival?

Celta Vigo will be looking to continue their impressive return to form when they meet Atletico Madrid on Saturday evening.

 Saturday 13th April 2019, 18:30 (Spanish Time) / Wanda Metropolitano / La Liga / #AtletiCelta#

The visitors have moved themselves out of the drop zone after a run of three games unbeaten and they will now look to get another good result against Diego Simeone’s side.

Simeone’s side, however, will be looking to bounce back after defeat to Barcelona last week – which left them out of the La Liga title race.

Team News

Diego Costa’s red card against Barcelona last week has seen his season come to an end after he was hit with an eight game ban, prompting speculation that he will now leave the Wanda Metropolitano this summer.

Thomas Partey and Jose Gimenez are also suspended for the home side, meaning 18-year-old Nehuen Perez could feature.

Juanfran is expected to play at right back, meaning Vitolo could come into midfield.

The visitors have their main goalscoring threat Iago Aspas unavailable through suspension, whilst Brais Mendez is ruled out through injury.
