Premier League side Arsenal have completed a one-year loan deal for Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos.
The 22-year-old struggled to get himself into Madrid’s first team but has always maintained a place for the Spanish national side and he has now completed a medical and move to the Emirates stadium.
Ceballos joined Sevilla’s youth system in 2004 aged just eight and went on to play for his hometown side, CD Utrera, before completing his youth development with Betis, where he signed a professional contract and later made his debut for the first team.
Playing well at the Benito Villamarin, Ceballos gained a six-year deal with Los Blancos in July 2017.
The central midfielder won his first Spanish cap in September 2018, netting his first international goal for his country two months later.
The highly rated Spaniard also represented his country’s U21 side at the European Championship this summer, scoring two goals to help them lift the trophy.
Ceballos has been confirmed to wear the number eight shirt for the Gunners in the Premier League and is expected to make his debut this coming Sunday in the Emirates Cup.
The former Betis man joins the likes of fellow Spaniard Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal, who play for Unai Emery’s side.
