Gareth Bale is set to leave Real Madrid and make a sensational move to Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning, according to Marca.
The Welsh international’s career at the Santiago Bernabeu has been fairly successful, scoring over 100 goals for Los Blancos but injury problems and reports of a reluctancy to learn Spanish and adapt to Spanish lift – Bale has been linked with an exit.
Those links have led the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Paris Saint Germain and Jiangsu to show interest, whilst Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has been desperate to see the winger leave.
Summer recruits in the shape of Eden Hazard from Chelsea have only pushed Bale further away from Zidane’s starting eleven, prompting such links away from the club.
A goal and missed penalty earlier this week against Arsenal in a pre-season friendly gained praise from Zidane, but the Frenchman has been less than quiet over his dislike of Bale in the past.
Reports in Marca on Friday evening and in Saturday morning’s front page – claim that Bale is now set to leave for China in what would be a sensational move away from European football.
Further reports claim that Bale will sign a three-year contract in China, worth 22m euros per season – seemingly ending his six years with Madrid, where he won 13 titles in total.
