Barcelona have asked Paris Saint Germain for a loan deal and option to buy to see the return of Neymar at the Camp Nou.
The Brazilian forward left the Catalan capital for PSG two years ago and whilst he has been successful on the pitch – his desire to return to play with the likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez has seen him linked with a sensational return this summer.
Speculation over a return began as soon as the summer transfer window opened and with just two weeks remaining – things are now starting to hot up.
Previously, reports across Spain, England and France claimed that Barca were willing to offer a number of players in exchange for the former Santos man – but with one of those players in Philippe Coutinho having joined Bayern Munich – that now seems unlikely.
Reports on Tuesday morning in Spain now claim that a final offer of a two-year loan plus an option to buy – has been sent to PSG officials.
Whilst Barca are increasing their efforts, Real Madrid are also linked, along with Italian giants Juventus, however, Neymar is understood to be focused on moving back to Catalonia.
Barca lost to Athletic Bilbao on the opening day of the new La Liga season and have now been left without Ousmane Dembele, Messi and Suarez due to injury.
New signing Antoine Griezmann is the only recognised attacking player available for Sunday’s game with Real Betis.
